The 2A logo is cool… But how do I personalize my Avatar?
Plat4m has been enhanced with the Gravatar “Globally Recognized Avatar” plug-in module. You can change your Avatar simply by signing up for a FREE Gravatar account at: http://www.gravatar.com/. The sign up process takes less than five minutes, and once you activate your account through e-mail, you will be able to upload an Avatar. Your Avatar is directly tied to your e-mail address, so make sure you register with the same e-mail address that you have setup your account here on Plat4m with.
Why are some of the functions on Plat4m not working for me?
A large part of Plat4m is being enhanced with AJAX. For example the Calendars and the Live Search are both AJAX. Over the next few months, we have plans to add several other custom AJAX components. That said, if you have disabled JavaScript support in your browser, or if you are using an older unsupported browser… Your ability to interact here on Plat4m will be significantly hindered.
What are the Browser recommendations for using Plat4m?
Plat4m has been optimized and is continuously tested in Internet Explorer as well as Firefox. At this time, we support the following:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.X and Above (Not the 7.0 Beta)
- Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.4 and Above
If you are among the less than 2% of our viewers actually using either Safari or Opera, your experience here will likely not be pleasant. Then again, you probably already realized that your entire Internet experience isn’t very pleasant. Time to switch!
I want to participate more with Plat4m, how can I do this?
Plat4m has been customized with Access Levels. When you first register for the site, you will be considered a “Subscriber”, and you will basically have access to view and submit comments. Your comments will be held for moderation, which will account for the delay you may experience before a comment is actually ‘live’ on the site.
Once you have started regularly contributing and have approximately twenty comments behind you, as well as an avatar and completed profile, your account will be reviewed by an Administrator and upgraded to “Contributor”, at our discretion. At this level you will be able participate in threaded discussions (We only support 2 levels of threads – this really is not a Community Forum site).
By limited request and under the understanding of extreme scrutiny, your account can be potentially upgraded to an “Author”, where you will be given the ability to add limited content to the News Sections. Tutorials, Gallery Items and Experimental Work that you would like to contribute can be submitted to the Plat4m Administrator and will be reviewed and posted, if accepted.
How rude! Why was my comment deleted?
Content on Plat4m is being moderated with good reason. First off, we never intended for it to be an Industry Community site, but rather a strong informational resource. If you are all jacked up on Haterade or if you are suffering from a massive episode of Coprolalia sometimes characterized through Tourette’s Syndrome, your comments will probably never go ‘live’.
Who should I contact if I find an error or an omission?
Please send your messages concerning Errors or Omissions to admin@plat4m.com
Who should I contact if I want to contribute content to Plat4m?
Please send contributions to admin@plat4m.com. Be sure to include a zip file (or FTP link) to all of the supporting content that you have, such as photos, screenshots, and source code files. Submissions should be thorough, well written, and on topic. If you have an idea for a submission that you want to run by us first – before you spend time creating it – just send an e-mail to the same address.
Plat4m is sweet! Which blog software are you using?
Wordpress. You can find it here.
Does this mean that 2Advanced is going to start building Blog Themes?
Nope.
