2ADVANCED CONFERENCE TABLE COMES TO LIFE General 2A

Tuesday, October 21, 2008 Posted 03:06 AM

Weighing in at 2000 lbs, the custom 2Advanced conference table, a collaborative concept developed by Eric Jordan and Tony Novak, has finally become a reality.

Based on preliminary concept sketches, Eric designed the 17 foot long table in 3D using Cinema 4D. It consists of a textured lightweight concrete with a 2x2' metallic logo inset, a steel truss support frame, two end bases each wrapped in 1" chrome accents, one middle base stand, eight 1" chrome rod accents, 8 power outlets and data ports, a multifunctional inset channel to accommodate bottled water, as well as special insets to hold a circular conference phone and circular media PC . The table is so large, and so heavy, it needed to be cleverly designed in 3 separate sections in order for it to make it to the 2nd floor of the 2Advanced Studios facility. Everything was built to exact scale in 3D so that the table could be precisely fabricated according to the design. Below, you can see the concept from start to finish.

for the movie alien had done something similar to design the seats, these seem to me to correct their study.

Amazing.

Looks great guys.
I love the industrial look your table has. It goes with the interior design (at least so much as I’ve had the pleasure of seeing)

PS. We use those chairs at the design firm I work for… They are SO comfy. And you can bounce a hacky-sack off the seats. Seriously, Try it one day.

:)

Great work

@ Edge, totally agree with you. someone must also tell him that there’s nofollow on all links posted here as well. I went to his site also and was really amazed how much he has ripped off 2A style and even their sound effects from their own site and various others they’ve done also. And his latest rip is almost a copy of their existing site in the way it functions. Man I was so disappointed to see that level of plagiarism, I really think they need to look at sites other than this and realize that there’s more sites that exist on the internet.

7pages, I’m surprised you haven’t been sued by 2A. Inspiration is one thing but you’ve completely ripped off Eric’s style. Even the logo/font is a direct knock off.

Very attractive style for a conference room. I really like those chairs. I think there is a VAIO system circular box, right? :)

Very interesting design indeed, it has design aspects from V4 and V5 blended together very well. The logo in the center really makes a statement and for clients it will make them feel that they are really dealing with a company that is serious about what they do.
